Congratulations to the one and only Aiden (AKA Maplemaster) for winning our Halloween contest! His winning entry, titled 'Nightmare' can be seen here: fav.me/d4cm8y7
I'll now do a quick review of it, just to sum up why it won the contest.
So this thing has a pretty unique look goin' on - I mean, it's so unique that it had me going 'what the hell is this...' the first time I saw it. But over time, the shape started to grow on me, and I began to appreciate more how well the pieces meshed together. The texture for the most part is quite consistent, and the trailing tentacles/eyebrows look great.
The use of the dino tail to create a curve in the body(?) is well done, and the incorporation of that Gadunka head makes me wish I had one myself.
The grave is probably the part that initially confused me the most, and it wasn't until halfway through reviewing the MOC with Aiden himself that I actually realised what it was. (Awkward :s) Nonetheless, it's a creative attempt at a mouldy tombstone, and the two clashing shades of grey just emphasise this vintage factor further.
Totally worthy of first place. Congratulations to Brendan (AKA Clockwork Tempest) for winning 2nd place with his Slender Man, and Johann (AKA Johann Dakitsch) for 3rd place with his Pestilence.

CUUSOO Motorised Tachikoma
https://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/13519
May I take up your time for a moment to request that you vote for this AWESOME motorised Tachikoma on Lego CUUSOO? It's built by one of my contacts on Flickr, Mahjqa, and features fully motorised walking and driving.
You can see the model in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dargOslomMA&list=UU-G_RyVIfGPA7i2aKroleXg&feature=plcp . I reckon it'd be awesome to see this little beauty in stores; I for one would buy it!
Please help make this real. It's going fairly well already on CUUSOO, but we can make it go even better.
Photography Tips
Check out my latest deviation, it's got some very handy tips in it for photographing small objects (MOCs in particular) :)
And yeah, I've been sick for the past 3 days. Not cool :(
Thankyou Everyone!
Wow, I never expected to get that many comments on F33-X3 o.O Thankyou to everyone who commented, fav'd or added to galleries, it means a lot :)
On that note, I'm also pretty much over my MOCist's block. Unfortunately my good friend ~LordObliviontheGreat (https://www.deviantart.com/lordoblivionthegreat) is now experiencing said MOCist's block, but I'm sure he'll get over it soon, ain't that right, mate? ;)
Today is also my birthday, which is pretty cool I guess. Got a ton of cool stuff including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and approx. $190. I'm certainly not complaining :P
I'd also like to just draw your attention to two DA members who I think deserve more watchers: :iconJohann-D
MOCing inactivity and stuff.
Hey everybody,
I'm kinda gettin' a bit slack these days, and haven't been MOCing or checking DA nearly as much as I'd like to. It's not that I don't have enough time, it's just that... well, I'm kinda left slapped in the face not knowing what to build. Seriously, I just got a whole load of pieces a few months ago, and I STILL have no ideas of what to MOC...
This is in no way saying that I'm quitting MOCing. That'd be stupid. I'm just not going to do it as much as usual, but will try and be more active in the MOCist community. I'm kinda pulling a Sparky-trick here, I guess ;)
See y'all round.
